St. Hilaire Motorsports: The Friendly Faces of Extreme Sports

By Kelly Church

Since 2009, St. Hilaire Motorsports has been catering to New England adrenaline junkies. Run by fellow riders and racers, St. Hilaire Motorsports specializes in the servicing and retailing of used power sport vehicles and motorcycles.

Josh St. Hilaire, owner of the Rochester, NH shop, says the key to his business is size. "Because we stay small, we are able to offer a closer relationship to our customers to better service their wants and needs," St. Hilaire says.

The business thrives by providing customers with fast turnaround times, quality parts, and reliable used land and water motorsport vehicles.

St. Hilaire credits the shop's reasonable prices compared to those of his competitors to his low overhead costs- another benefit of having a small staff. "We are able to pass the savings on to the customer," St. Hilaire explains.

St. Hilaire Motorsports accommodates needs ranging from land motorsport vehicles to water vessels and snowmobiles. In addition to sales, the shop offers inspection, fine-tuning, part installation, and rebuild services.

St. Hilaire Motorsports even assists customers in finding the "vehicle of [their] dreams" by searching internationally. St. Hilaire offers purchasing help, inspections, import and export services, and storage to put customers at ease with their new vehicle investment.

When asked about motor sports as a hobby, St. Hilaire says that it's something that can bring a new perspective on a person's life. Riding motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles and other power sport vehicles, he explains, "allows you to see parts of the world you may not be able to access by foot; many beautiful views, scenery, wildlife." It's great stress relief. Above all, St. Hilaire says, "riding introduces you to many new people who become lifelong friends."

However, you don't have to be seeking a rush of adrenaline to enjoy motorsports. Events held in the St. Hilaire Motorsports area include the Laconia Motorcycle week, the world's oldest motorcycle rally. St. Hilaire says this event "is very exciting and spectator friendly," allowing those who don't participate to appreciate the skill.
