PR Bartending Keeps the Fun and Drinks Flowing at Any Event

By Pamela Sosnowski

Hiring bartenders for a catered event is usually an afterthought; if someone can pour and mix drinks, they're usually good to go. New Hampshire-based PR Bartending, however, is demonstrating why hiring a mobile bartending service can be an advantage. For the past four years the professionally licensed and fully insured company has been providing expert bar staff, pouring services, custom equipment, and more for a variety of events throughout the New England area.

"[We] provide professionally trained, fully insured bartenders, barbacks, bussers, servers and general event staff for do-it-yourself weddings, private parties, fundraisers and corporate events," owner and founder Patrice Roulx, said. "PR Bartending provides wine and champagne pouring services, bussing services, and also creates specialty cocktails tailored to event themes or hosts' tastes."

PR Bartending takes the added stress of drink planning away from its clients and eliminates their need for a liquor license. All bartenders on staff have a minimum of five years of experience, are fully insured, and TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) safe-serve certified. They can create the bar area and custom cocktails based on an event's theme, and can even help additionally insure party hosts, homeowners, and venues up to $2 million in liability insurance.

According to Roulx, all of the perks that PR Bartending provides give customers a greater return on their investment.

"Clients save hundreds of dollars using PR Bartending services as opposed to a traditional cookie cutter country club wedding," she said. "And clients have everything 'their way.'"

After an earlier career in the restaurant business, Roulx and her husband founded PR Bartending in 2013 to fill a need in the catering industry. Studying theater and arts in college, says Roulx, has given her a great eye for detail when it comes to planning events.

"PR Bartending specializes in the widely popular rustic barn weddings and backyard tented parties," she said. "The company is an approved vendor at more than 50 wedding venues across the region."

For those that have bartenders for an event already or plan to have guests serve themselves, PR Bartending rents an array of equipment including bars that range from six to 20 feet, coolers, tubs, glassware, and more. The rental fees include delivery, set-up, and breakdown. Galvanized steel tubs are available for self-serving soda and water while keeping the liquid cool. Last year, the company acquired a two-tap stainless steel jockey box with CO2 for keg beer pouring. Breakage insurance is also available for all glassware rentals.

PR Bartending has racked up several glowing testimonials on Facebook, Yelp, and Google. Professional, friendly, and amazing are just some of the adjectives clients have routinely used to describe their services, and the company has also won awards including Best of Boston in 2015 and 2016.

"When it comes to a party, you have only one chance to get it right," Roulx said. "Our experience, expertise and execution remove all the guesswork and headaches from your party planning, presentation and performance."
