Nashua's Banyan Yoga Leaves Members Peaceful, Calm, and Ready to Take on the Day

Banyan Tree Yoga is a Nashua, NH yoga studio that welcomes yoga practitioners of all levels to their studio, inside an old mill building that gives the space a welcoming and soothing charm. Brandy Hill is the founder of the studio, and firmly believes in all the benefits of yoga: increased flexibility, improved circulation, deeper stretching, stress reduction and increased mindfulness in everyday life. 

"Yoga is an ancient practice for the mind, body and soul," Hill says. "Deep, full-bodied breath, coupled with mindful movements, cleanses the tension we hold in our physical body, which, in turn, clears the mind and allows us to stay focused on the present moment." 

Banyan Tree Yoga has a long list of classes that vary in intensity and style. For moms, there are prenatal and postnatal yoga classes, mommy and me yoga, and family yoga for parents to practice with kids aged three to six. There are more traditional classes, including yin yoga, yoga nidra flow, vinyasa yoga and restorative yoga. The studio's TGIF yoga and slow flow classes are meant to energize the body and mind. In particular, the TGIF class warms up the body through active flow poses. Banyan Tree Yoga's chakra balancing class is a unique eight-week series of classes designed to clear the body's chakras for more balanced energy. 

A group of instructors teach weekly classes at Banyan Tree Yoga. Hill is not only the founder, but also one of the instructors and teaches others to be yoga instructors. Each instructor has a different background, but all of them are deeply passionate about their yoga practices and helping their students advance in yoga. 

"We absolutely love our community and teachers," Hill says. "Yoga is so much more than just exercise. That's just one small piece. It's really about bringing together body and breath, students and teachers, learning to live authentically and building community."

Banyan Tree Yoga was voted Best Yoga Studio Nashua several years and Hill was even voted Best Yoga Teacher Nashua multiple times over the last five years. Anyone can take classes with Hill or other members of her team seven days a week. The drop-in rate for a single class is $15, however there are bulk passes and an unlimited membership option.
