Learn to Exercise the Right Way with the Help of Manchester's Top Fitness Center

Calling upon members of the Manchester, NH community to not settle for a gym that isn't working for them, Good Training by Mike is offering a solution.

Saying they are a "fitness center that finally gets it right," Good Training by Mike is owned by and named after Mike Good who has a background in personal training, physical therapy and sports management. Good Training by Mike focuses on personal training in the gym, however does offer a cardio program which takes advantage of the group class format.

"Personal training is so great because it's tailored towards each individual," Good says. "The average client wants to feel better, have more energy and lose some weight. Usually half hour sessions combine strength training and cardio drills together work the best."

In order to provide the best workout experience, the trainers at Good Training by Mike specialize in certain areas of fitness. Good himself focuses on working with the 55 and older crowd; Jill Provost works with pre- and post-natal clients; Jeff Cushman specializes in clients seeking overall weight loss. The first step in successful personal training at Good Training by Mike is matching up clients with the appropriate personal trainer.

Personal training sessions focus on all aspects of fitness, with a program developed just for each person's needs and goals. Strength training is also a big draw for much of the community. The studio is designed to have a large emphasis on weightlifting and features state-of-the-art equipment. As for the cardio program, classes are built to push clients to their next level of fitness. Cardio classes are between 30 minutes and one hour in length.

For all around healthier lifestyles, Good says he recommends rest to his clients. He says that limited rest time is essential for positive exercise results. He also suggests that one of the best ways to lose and control weight, and keep health conditions like diabetes in check, is to manage a healthy diet. Eating habits are the first step towards weight loss and maintaining a healthier lifestyle.

Good also uses his background, education and experience to help people outside of the area with their fitness. His exercise programs have been featured in Men's Exercise Magazine and soon his studio will be featured on a TLC documentary.
