Instructors Help Members Move Towards Better Mobility at Fuse Yoga & Fitness

By Kelly Church

At Fuse Yoga & Fitness, the goal is to get everyone moving, no matter their physical or mental limitations. Offering everything from yoga and barre classes to mobility training, indoor surfing and trampoline classes, the studio is a comprehensive approach to fitness at all levels. The Londonberry, NH studio is run by Nicole Detellis, an instructor and movement educator who opened Fuse Yoga & Fitness and developed her very own type of movement training.

"While there are many benefits to a movement practice, a yoga practice in particular can help restore internal harmony, peace, calm and a sense of well-being," Detellis says. "Yoga uses specific poses or asanas along with breath to reconnect the practitioner to the body and mind. Research shows that yoga helps to increase flexibility, strength, lung capacity, balance, the ability to cope with stressful situations both on and off the mat, and even weight loss."

Yoga classes range from gentle, beginner classes to flows, yin, candlelight restorative yoga and sculpt. There are two barre classes: Barre Fitness that is a full-body workout combining elements of pilates, yoga and dance; and BarreCore that focuses on strengthening the core muscles. Other group classes include Jump Fit, utilizing small trampolines to create a heart-pumping 45-minute workout; Surf Fit using surf simulation boards to engage the core; Strength & Core for a more traditional strength workout. The studio also offers metabolic training with high-intensity and short-interval cardio activity. Outdoor bootcamp is also an offered.

Fuse Yoga & Fitness also offers a series of classes called MovUnlimited. The program is a new training curriculum designed to increase mobility. The key to these classes is variety. The approach is the more types of movement the body experiences, the better it mobility. Detellis, a Master Fascial Fitness Trainer, created this program to overcome challenges that may be due to injury or illness. Classes are held in small groups, partner sessions, and one-on-one for more individualized attention.

"Our MovUnlimited sessions will help clients increase mobility through adaptable, integrative and progressive movements that are specifically designed with the client in mind," Detellis says. "Our philosophy at Fuse is that everyone should be have the ability to move organically, not limited by age, body type, stereotype or by the confines of the space that surrounds you. We believe that people were born to move and that movement should be fun."

Pre-registration is required for all classes at Fuse Yoga & Fitness and clients can opt for an unlimited membership option, purchase bulk classes, or pay per class at a drop-in rate of $17. For more information be sure to visit their website at
