Expert Advice on Your Home Repairs: An Interview with Brian of Brian S the Handyman

By Brian

Tell us a little bit about your company and the services you offer.

My company Brian S the Handyman offers professional quality home repair work and remolding at a fair and honest price. We can finish an array of projects from honey-do lists to complete home renovations. No job is too large for us to handle.

Can you briefly explain what a handyman (home repair) contractor is and what qualifications one should have?

A professional handyman will be honest, timely, and accurate. We make sure to arrive on time and inform the client about all of the steps that are being taken to complete the service with options to fit their budget.

How is the fee/price usually set? Does the work typically come with any kind of guarantee?

Quotes are produced and given to the client before the service is started. Unless there are unexpected findings, the price on the quote will remain accurate. One of my main goals is to make sure my customers are happy and satisfied.

What are some of the most common home repairs that people hire a handyman for?

Carpentry work is very popular at this time. Many of our clients are updating their homes with extra storage space to help organize. New cabinets, custom storage benches, and a fresh coat of paint can always spruce up a home to look new. Bathrooms are also a common home renovation with many ways to freshen up with tile and modern fixtures.

Are there any home repairs that the average homeowner should not attempt to fix on their own?

Plumbing and electrical work should never be attempted. Small improvements can be made, but people who do not have a lot of knowledge about repairs can often make things worse.

What advice can you give to people who need some repairs done but keep putting it off?

Depending on the repair, delaying the problem could make the issue worse and often more costly to fix. Water damage is the most important repair to address as soon as it happens.

What's the best way for people to contact you and your company?

Phone (603-303-0085) or email (BrianStheHandyman@gmail.com) are both great ways to contact me. I will get back to the prospective client in a timely manner either way.
