With crowd pleasers such as homemade rustic pizzas and barbecue steak tips, Millie's Tavern in Hampton, New Hampshire doesn't serve the usual bar-style foods. Incorporating fresh seafood into the menu is a must for manager Jon Ingham, who tries to procure only the freshest local ingredients for his kitchen. It's well know that many similar establishments don't invest the same care and attention to detail that Millie's does.

"I have been eating most of this menu for nearly twenty years at the owner's family dinner table," Ingham said. "[They] really take pride in the food served at Millie's Tavern [and prepare it with love]."

Maintaining consistently great quality, affordable pricing, and larger than average meal portions has made Millie's a flagship area restaurant, beloved by tourists and locals alike. Adhering to this simple, no-frills formula of quality, pricing, and portions over the years has spelled success for the establishment and many hours of delectable enjoyment for its customers. With good food and live entertainment on the daily roster, Millie's rarely falls short of clients' expectations.

"One of the best things about working for Millie's Tavern is the family environment," Ingham said. "Whether you have been here for 10 years or ten days, everyone treats each other with respect and understanding."

On the menu, you will spot American classics like creamy macaroni and cheese, prime beef hamburger, baby back ribs, and fish and chips made with locally caught haddock or cod. Seafood fajitas, stuffed lobster, and bacon-wrapped shrimp also grace the menu and never disappoint. Wet your whistle with Millie's famous fish bowl, made with top shelf rums and natural fruit juices and sweeten your tooth with their signature, homemade mud slide cake.

"We always have something going on at Millie's," Ingham said. "Whether it be our acoustic acts, a live band or our famous karaoke, we never charge a cover."

Millie's is the go-to place for locals and visitors looking for a delicious bite to eat and a good time without breaking the bank.
