Carol Jayne Photography Combines Professionalism and Artistic Talent

By S. Mathur

Carol Jayne Delbert is a graduate of the Hallmark Institute of Photography and opened her own studio at the tender age of 21, four years ago. The studio specializes in portrait photography including newborns and babies, families and pets, high school seniors, boudoir and weddings. Settings can range from the studio to wedding receptions to a scenic waterfall for a mermaid shoot. Deibert will even travel to the local Taco Bell to record true love.

Deibert believes that what sets her work apart from others is her genuine love for photography and the memories it can hold.

" I love that a photograph can bring you back to a time and place or even a feeling and I want my clients to have beautiful photographs they can cherish forever," she said, "I get excited when the session and photos are coming out amazing because thats what I want for my clients."

Her training at the Hallmark Institute of Photography gives her a professional edge as well. Her portfolio is varied, talented and shows a real feeling for each client's personal story. Clients find that photo shoots are handled very professionally, even at weddings when everyone is crowding around the couple to take pictures.

People skills are as important as technical and artistic merit when it comes to portrait and lifestyle photography. Deibert's pictures show that her subjects are completely at ease in front of her camera. Achieving that kind of rapport is easier said than done, and the results speak for themselves.

Photographing babies and newborns poses special challenges, but Delbert handles these with ease. Newborn and baby photographs show them smiling at the photographer or slumbering peacefully, with no frowns or puckered mouths signaling an impending squall. Quite often the little ones can be persuaded to ham it up in mermaid or lobster costumes. The studio also has a stack of special clothes for holidays like St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day and Christmas.

Couples, boudoir and portrait photography likewise require sensitivity to each moment. Romantic engagement and wedding pictures are natural, not posed and artificial. The serious and joyful feel of the occasion is captured in Deibert's pictures.

Pet photography too needs an infinite amount of patience, not to mention real affection for the critters, who can always smell a fake. Deibert photographs both dogs and cats, as well as the occasional hamster. Her skills extend to persuading dogs and even cats to wear their studio costumes, bows and hats, and to pose long enough to be photographed.

Deibert's professionalism extends to the customer service experience, with images delivered and special requests honored promptly.
